CarChat is a chat application that allows you to communicate with the owner of a vehicle by entering the license plate number of a car. Now, drivers can communicate with each other to find out about any altercations related to their vehicles: a flat tire, a ticket, or if their car has been hit could be some of the scenarios for which CarChat was created.
I worked with the Effectus team alongside two other colleagues to create a user-centered design where we addressed all stages of the design process to reach the best possible product. Here was our process:
User Research
Visual Design
Interaction Design
Co-design Facilitator
Victoria Chaparro
Ayelen Moretto
Figma
Adobe Illustrator
FigJam
Whimsical
Optimal Workshop
Initially, we met with clients from Uruguay, Montevideo, who wanted to address a traffic problem in the city to improve the community.
We conducted documentation in Figma where we were able to work on the discovery process as a team and with the clients
A little exercise...get to know the user a little
We held a brainstorming session where we generated possible features and voted on those that would be part of the first MVP, thus selecting the most promising solutions
A small exercise we conducted with the team and clients involved performing a card sorting activity using the Optimal Workshop tool. We asked them to intuitively organize the cards to derive the structure.
Based on the interpretation of the card sorting, we were able to develop an architecture and flows that aligned with the intuition of the participating users.
